Marduk is one of my favorite black metal bands. I can't wait till next month when me and The Butt will be seeing them in concert with Mayhem, Cattle Decapitation, Cephalic Carnage and Withered. If you haven't heard them they are definitely worth a look.

Steel Inferno
Spoiler

Fuck this video is cool. TANKS AND EXPLOSIONS AND CORPSE PAINT!
World Funeral, is a killer CD. And I like Danse Macabre, & Plague Angel a lot, as well as selected earlier stuff.
Although I was less impressed with that last album. I need to listen to it again though, it's been a while.

By the way for those who haven't, listen to The Legion, with features the drummer from Marduk's World Funeral CD Emil Dragutinovic. Prob my fav Black Metal drummer. Amazing band. They just put out a new CD last week a Bliss to Suffer.
Haven't heard that one yet, but their Unseen to Creation album is a must, as is Revocation, their last album. Fucking KILLER!

I say it's awesome. Thoughts?
Not a fan of the font used for the title WORMWOOD... other than that, it is indeed fucking awesome coverart.
I saw it a couple of days ago and I think it is awesome as well. I am excited for this album. Everyone seems to think that Wormwood is a stupid album title though. Disappointed Cause apparently there is a shitty anime called Wormwood. The actual meaning is fucking sweet though and I love it. "Wormwood (star), in the Book of Revelation, a star that falls upon Earth and poisons a third part of the waters."
That's a really cool cover, album name, and font. Now we just have to hope that the music is as good.

It's Marduk, odds are it will be good enough.
Damn, how did I ever miss this thread? Silly me, death metal devotee that I am, just doesn't come visit Black Metal as often as I'd like. Wink LOL

I love Marduk (one of my select BM favourites of all time) and have a bunch of their albums----including the three that I recently bought. I got Wormwood, just three days ago. Haven't listened to it yet, but I will tomorrow, hopefully. I have a strong hunch it will be a terrific disc. Sadly, I've never watched them live. Does anybody have opinions on their live albums: Live in Germania and Infernal Eternal? Next to watching them live someday soon, I'm thinking of buying one of these live records, in the meantime.
I've sorta fallen a bit out of love with Marduk lately tbh. Used to think they were pretty awesome, but I can't name a track anymore for the life of me that gets the goosebumps standing up.
You need to get goosebumps to like music?
I get goosebumps when I'm listening to music that really gets to me but it happens really fucking rarely.
I get goosebumps when I listen to mindblowingly awesome music, yes. Happens pretty often for me actually, since I don't generally settle for less. Pacman
Well that certainly is debatable
I'm sorry but the correct answer was "I agree"

Parting gifts are backstage, hope you had fun Pacman
I didn't

As far my experience goes goosebumps are heavily linked to the temperature ... but maybe you turn your house into a fridge before listening to BM, which could explain all this. Ya know, to feel the actual COLDNESS of the music Grin
Nah, I just experience those "really good parts" that just make the hair on my neck stand up, really often with black metal. Wink Moreso than with any other genre of metal, actually.
Maybe you should go to the doctor
