Piledriver is an old, very short-lived speed/thrash (even power metalish 
) Canadian act from Toronto. I remember totally loving their wickedly funny lyrics and breakneck, bombastic playing, when I was a freshman in high school.
They effectively quit in '86 after releasing two very entertaining speed metal records, Metal Inquisition and Stay Ugly. More than a decade later, in 1997, I saw a guy I knew holding a Best Of' Piledriver compilation. I also learned that they were sort of reforming under a new name, The Exalted Piledriver. Ha, their music was definitely always exalting enough
