Oldschool tech-thrash from Wisconsin. They have two full-lengths, Endless War (198Cool and Suiciety (1990).

I've really enjoyed Realm since I heard them for the first time a while back. They're rather technical, but there's still tons of melody and depth in the music. Mark Antoni is also one of my favorite thrash vocalists.

Fans? If you like Toxik, you'll like Realm.
I got into Endless War back around the time it came out in late 88 or early 89. It was a blind buy based on the cover, stickers, and they were on Roadrunner/RC records back in the day which was a pretty happenin label back then. I bought the vinyl and made a car tape that had Forbidden's debut LP on side 1 and Realm on side 2. That tape got a lot of play for a while there. Suiciety I wasn't as into. But I still thought they were a pretty damn good band & still listen to an updated CD of Endless War that I got a few years ago.
Damn, I haven't heard anything by them yet. I'm definitely gonna try to get hold of Endless War very soon. The 'tech-thrash' bit sparks my curiosity and interest, especially.
Realm is alright. I might sell my copy of Endless War.

I'm way more into Toxik than Realm. Toxik seems to do the tech-thrash correctly imo
Napalmkid you might get into Endless War. Although just to forewarn you, if you're not into high pitched vocals it might turn you off. The guy could get a little shrill here & there. He had a little something that reminds me of King Diamond at times. Anyway check youtube for some Realm samples.

I'd say that there are better tech-thrash bands than both Toxik and Realm, but both are very good in their own right.

Hey WG, that's actually a very apt and welcome warning, mate. Smile I've always had a low threshold for 'high pitched' vocals (though I don't mind a few singers and bands with that style). But man, 'shrill' and mention of KD are definite red flags in my eyes. Lol I'm gonna try them out anyway, for sure.
