Infester is a really dark, evil-sounding death metal band from Seattle. They only released one album, To the Depths... In Degredation, but it's fantastic. They draw a lot of comparisons to the New York scene, but, at least to me, Infester sounds much... sicker, I guess. Their vocalist, James Oliver, is also really, really good.

Yup, Infester is sick and cool as fuck I reckon comparisons to nydm pertain to the pummeling, overwhelming brutality of bands of that scene and Infester's seeming similarity to that.

'To the Depths....In Degradation' is an excellent one-off record by this Seattle act...It's sad that Infester split up, and didn't write another great record as a follow-up.
