Dismember is an oldschool Swedish death metal band from Stockholm. Their debut album, Like an Everflowing Stream, is, in my not-so-humble opinion, the best album from that scene, and one of the best death metal albums ever. They released several strong albums after that, declined in the middle of their career, but came roaring back in 2004 with Where Ironcrosses Grow.
I've heard of these guys from reading Swedish Death Metal by Daniel Ekroth. Now, that's some quality, pure buzzsaw tone Swedish Death Metal.

Excellent band, that has spawned legions of imitators in Sweden and beyond. twins is right about Like An Ever Flowing Stream being a true classic, though being 'one of the best death metal albums ever'...
hmmm...you know I'm too much of a dyed-in-the-wool death metal die-hard with literally tons of all-time favourite records to rank LAEFS that highly, that easily.
Hey twins, I actually liked Indecent and Obscene ever better.
I have heard almost everything by Dismember and I feel some of their latter records are quite uneven in quality, though 'Death Metal' and 'The God That Never Was' were mostly very cool, overall. I have watched them live, twice, here in Australia. Classy performers with impressive set-lists, terrific atmosphere and death metal mayhem, all round.
*I think I probably prefer Dismember to Grave (that other Swedish dm legend that Dismember is most often compared to, regarding their careers and legacies in the Swedish scene)
