Just heard them for the first time the other day. They're from the UK and while they sound somewhat modern, there's something that reminds me of some great old Earache bands. The album has a great mix. From what I understand they were once considered deathcore. So evidently they've evolved. Although I'm sure someone here will consider them postcore, or horseradishcore, or blackened slam core, or some other such bullshit.
And at least for the moment, they have earned some positive opinion from me.

Any fans? Annecdotes? A tasty limerick perhaps?
Awkward band name; apparently more apt for an 'album' title perhaps.

AOAA were definitely 'deathcore' with their 2008 debut disc, 'Before the Throne of Infection'----and I found it quite sucky. Not because it was deathcore, but the songs were just so mediocre, all round.

Now, the latest (this year's release), 'II: The Reign of Darkness' is more straight-up death metal, and is probably the better for it, with much improved musicianship and mostly killer ( though a few filler, too) tunes on it. I'm tempted to think that this band has the potential to be a decent grindcore band----should they venture down that avenue in the future.
Yeah their name sounds like it should be a Carcass title or something. As I said they have something to them that reminds me of some of the classic early 90's bands. Perhaps it's the name.

Listening to their older stuff on their myspace page I can hear what you're talking about. Although I think the mix has something to do with that. The first song there Human Dust from their debut I thought showed some promise. But the mix is rather dull. The second song is a lot less interesting. But I'm liking the latest album. Some decent stuff there.
